GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) – House Speaker Paul Ryan made a stop in Kentucky to support Rep. Andy Barr, and he spoke one-on-one with WKYT during his visit.
Ryan appeared in Georgetown with Barr to visit Scott County businesses while touting recent tax cuts and other legislative reforms.
The high-profile appearance marks the second time in weeks a top Republican visited the district, as Barr is in a race that’s too close to predict against Democratic challenger Amy McGrath.
“She’s just well funded, and that’s why we’re here campaigning,” Ryan said. McGrath has raised more money than the incumbent according to campaign finance reports.
